RSU 4 Wellness

Foods we grow up eating become part of the fabric of our diet, often influenced by our family’s history and culture. Many cuisines offer dishes which include a variety of foods from all five food groups. Fruits, vegetables, grains, dairy and protein come in all sizes, shapes, colors and flavors. Including the foods you prefer from each group will help you personalize your plate to your tastes. Also, focusing on a variety of foods from each of the food groups will help you get the nutrients needed for good health.
While familiar foods are comforting and tend to shape our dietary habits, part of the excitement and joy of healthy eating comes from exploring new foods and sharing culinary traditions with family, friends, neighbors and colleagues.
